SPOTLIGHT ON THE ARMORY:
LBLDC, The Center for Labor and Community Research (CLCR), and Chicago Community Ventures have formed a strategic partnership to create The Center for Business Innovation and Training/Cooperative Kitchen. The Center will nurture the professional growth of entrepreneurs and emerging food businesses, provide support to existing business in the food-manufacturing sector, and establish career path training programs and job links for the Lawndale and broader Chicago-area community. Learn more about this project.
ABOUT LBLDC: The LBLDC was formed in 1985 to promote the economic health of Lawndale and adjacent areas through retention and expansion of business, and to provide new opportunities for residents through local training and employment. Learn more about us.
